Which plan should I choose?
Every plan includes the same features; they differ only in how long you have access. The 1-month plan suits students who have already reviewed content and test within a month. Most students choose 3 months, which leaves time for practice, weak-area review, and several CAT simulations. The 6-month plan suits students studying around work or school, or who want room to prepare for a retake.
Is NCLEX Key a subscription?
No. Every plan is a one-time payment for a set number of days (30, 90, or 180). Nothing renews automatically, and your progress is saved if you come back later.
How does NCLEX Key compare to UWorld?
NCLEX Key costs $59 for 30 days or $99 for 90 days, and every plan includes all 3,500+ questions, all 6 NGN item types, the CAT simulator and a Pass Guarantee. UWorld's NCLEX-RN plans listed $139 for 30 days and $229 for 90 days in September 2026 and add review videos, flashcards and an AI tutor. See the full NCLEX Key vs UWorld comparison.
Is NCLEX Key for the NCLEX-PN?
No. NCLEX Key is built for the NCLEX-RN: the question bank, the CAT simulator, and the Pass Guarantee all follow the NCLEX-RN test plan. Our free study guides cover topics that overlap with the PN exam, but the practice questions and plans are RN only.
How do I know if I'm ready for the NCLEX?
Your Readiness Score updates as you practice. When it reaches the High or Very High tier and your CAT simulations consistently finish above the passing standard, you're in a strong position to schedule your exam. Your Readiness Score is an estimate of your preparedness based on your practice performance, not a prediction or guarantee of your exam result.
What happens when my access expires?
Your access ends on the expiration date with no automatic renewal or surprise charges. You can extend or renew at any time at current pricing. All your progress, analytics, and performance data are saved if you decide to return.
How close is test mode to the NCLEX?
Test mode simulates exam conditions with timed questions and no feedback until you finish. Our CAT simulation uses adaptive stopping between 85-150 questions and gives you a readiness result. After completing the test, you get full rationales and a complete performance review.
How long should I study before my exam?
Many students plan 4 to 8 weeks of focused preparation. We recommend the 3-month plan to allow time for content review, practice questions, and multiple CAT simulations. The 1-month plan works well for students who have already completed a review course.
Can I use NCLEX Key on my phone or tablet?
Yes, the entire platform is mobile-responsive. Practice questions, case studies, and performance analytics all work on any device. Study wherever you are.
