Refund Policy & Pass Guarantee
We want NCLEX Key to help you pass — and if you put in the work and don’t, we refund you. Here’s how it works.
1. Pass Guarantee — full refund if you don’t pass
If you purchase a NCLEX Key plan, complete the program as described below, and do not pass the NCLEX-RN on your first attempt, we will refund what you paid.
To qualify:
- You must be a first-time NCLEX-RN candidate — the Pass Guarantee applies to your first attempt at the exam
- You must have an active paid plan during your study period leading up to your exam
- You must have completed at least 500 practice questions in the NCLEX Key question bank before your exam date
- You must have completed at least 1 full CAT simulation on our platform (run to its automatic finish, not exited early) with the result “Above the passing standard” before your exam date
- Your NCLEX-RN exam must have occurred during your plan’s active access period (renewals extend this window)
- You must submit your Candidate Performance Report (CPR), the NCSBN report your board of nursing sends to candidates who do not pass, within 30 days of receiving your result. Unofficial “Quick Results” screenshots cannot be accepted.
To request:
Email support@nclexkey.com with the subject “Pass Guarantee refund” and attach your Candidate Performance Report. We verify your activity against your account, confirm the result, and issue the refund within 10 business days of verification.
What happens to your access:
When a Pass Guarantee refund is issued, your paid access is revoked. You can re-purchase anytime at current pricing if you decide to retake the exam.
A CAT simulation result, like your Readiness Score, is an estimate based on your practice performance — not a prediction or guarantee of your actual exam result.
2. Extraordinary circumstances
Outside the Pass Guarantee criteria, refunds are handled case-by-case. If you’ve experienced extraordinary circumstances (medical, military deployment, bereavement), email us — we try to do right by students.
3. Non-refundable situations
We don’t refund in these cases:
- You haven’t met the Pass Guarantee criteria above (except for extraordinary-circumstance requests, which we review case by case under Section 2)
- You passed the NCLEX-RN and changed your mind about the purchase afterward
- Your account was terminated for violating our Terms of Service (content scraping, account sharing, abuse)
- You purchased through a promotional discount greater than 50% off regular pricing
4. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of emailing us, your access will be automatically revoked the moment the dispute is opened. We strongly prefer you email us first — we’ll almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback.
5. Refund method and timing
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Card and bank refunds typically appear 5–10 business days after Stripe submits them. If you paid with Klarna or Afterpay, the refund is normally processed through that provider, which cancels any remaining installments and returns what you’ve already paid. International payments can take longer depending on your bank.
6. Questions
If anything here is unclear, email support@nclexkey.com and we’ll walk you through it.
